I blame everything on the cold weather or on global warming. It’s complicated.

But in the Chicago area, the weather is usually way too hot (and humid), or way to cold (and windy). There are about seven days a year when the weather is perfect – 72 degrees with low humidity – but I tend to be out of town on those days. I have eight pretty jackets that are perfect for 58 to 68 degree nighttime weather, but I only get to wear one or two of them per year.

Unless I wear them indoors, which is fine for the short jackets but if I wear a long jacket indoors then I look either like a time traveler or an asshole.
